SEE CLEARLY!

Greatness has so much to do with seeing our conditions clearly.  We all have flaws in our perception & we see through limiting beliefs. We are blind to our blind spots. We see the world not as it is but as we are. And we don't know what we don't know.

If you are filled with fear and doubt, then when you go to work everyday, you will project your internal state to your external conditions.

Fear and doubt will question your ability to positively influence others and make a difference. You will work to survive rather than to thrive.

One way to get this is to think of a stained-glass window. each of us has a stained-glass window though which we see everything. A stained-glass window is made up of beliefs, rules, and ways of being taught to you by all life influences since we were born.

A stained-glass window is made up of beliefs,
rules, and ways of being taught to you by all
life influences since we were born.

All these has created a story that we have sold to ourselves on how the world works and how we get to show up in it. We see the world as we are.

If for instance, you believe that 'You can't lead', then your actions will of course be consistent with that belief and so you won't be able to lead.  If you believe in a rule that say 'Most women aren't trustworthy' or 'All men are the same', then your behaviour is bound to match these ideas and beliefs.

You cannot act better than your beliefs. But you can change them and see purely life as it is.

Today, I want you to 'clean up' your stained-glass window and remove all the limiting beliefs because they are not true.

PERSONAL HAPPINESS PART 1

I was in ecstatic mood last night after the game and I had fun taking it out of my Arsenal supporter friends.. (Chelsea won Arsenal Capital one Cup)... :)

Personal Happiness. The secret of happiness. I wanna share on this a little today. How can you be really happy? I remember someone asking me this question a few years ago. He wanted to know why I seem to be happy all the time like nothing is wrong...

There's no big deal about this. To be happy, you need to understand the following principles and follow them closely:

Firstly, you have to understand that no one holds the key to your happiness. You are responsible for your own happiness. YOU! People make this mistake all the time. they constantly seek approvals from others to live their lives. Their happiness depends on others - Never give anyone the chance to control your happiness and joy. Never! You are special all by yourself.

Secondly, don't stay in any relationship where you are not celebrated.

This one is the sole reason I stay happy all the time lol. I have learnt this many years ago. You'll never find me any place I'm not needed. If you sense that you are being tolerated in any way. Please leave that place/relationship immediately no matter who they are.

Even Jesus was never found around people who don't desire him. He couldn't do miracles cos they don't believe him He walked away.

Finally, you have to accept that you are unique just the way you are. There are no extra people in this world. You have a gift and greatness inside of you. If you look inward, you can tap happiness & fulfillment from the inside of yourself.

I will share some more later. I hope you enjoy reading this.

LEADERSHIP AT WORK

This morning, I spoke a little bit on Leadership at Work.

The best form of leadership is that which has no title. If you believe you need a title to be your best at work, then you will not be able to show great leadership.

I always have this in my mind each day I go to work. I want to be the First, the Most, the Only and the Best. Do your work as if the business is yours. Give more than 100% of your efforts and skills.

I devote myself to my work. I always believe that working for someone else is actually working for myself. If you are a cleaner, clean such that when you leave the company, people will say there was someone who worked here who was a great cleaner.

Success and greatness are not partial. They know who to follow. They are attracted to only the best and remember this, A winner is a winner before he's become a winner. Work like a winner!

CHOICES

Today, it's about Choices.

Everyday, we are presented with hundreds of choices to choose from. Our reactions to experiences we face each day. There are choices and then there are consequences of these choices. Every choice we make surely has a consequence.

Sometimes we unconsciously make some choices but they are still choices and of course there are consequences. So the best thing we can do is that each time we want to make a choice or a decision, we pause and ask what's the consequence of this choice Or we ask ourselves 'will the consequence of this choice bring happiness to me and those who it will affect?' Then decide.

A sign of Maturity is the ability to delay gratification. Sometimes, you give up your rights just to allow others have their way.

A great person sees tomorrow and then takes action today.

SERVICE

Hello there, it's so good to be sharing this with you. This is one of the single most talked-about topics in businesses and human relations these days. Service

I wrote this about 3 years ago and I like to share it with you on my website. Thanks for the time...

Have you ever waited in line to be served before?  Have you sat down at you favourite restaurant waiting for somebody to come get your order? Ha! How about the ATM? I can imagine the frustration on your face when you get to the ATM and you realize it cannot dispense.  I was once in a bank waiting for over 40 mins and all they told us was that their server was down.  I had to walk out in disappointment because I no access to my cash.  I didn’t get the service I was hoping to get.  It’s a shame!

The scenarios I have painted here has one thing in common.  SERVICE or the lack of it.

Did you know that we are all designed to serve and be served?  Did you know that it is more fulfilling to serve than to be served?  We all want to be served, that is a fact.  Now, if every one of us wants to be served, who will be the one to serve?

Service is simply described as the act of giving.  The gateman is serving no less than Mr. President.  The difference between them is that they are only acting in different capacity.  The bottom line is that they both are serving people.

There is a longing in the heart of people you see on the streets, people you enter the same bus with.  They all want to be loved and cared for. Some are not happy because they believe no one cares for them.  This is where you can come in and show that you really care. The simplest way you can show love is by giving a simple smile.   This is one way you yourself can be fulfilled in life. Do something to serve someone today.

Putting a smile on someone's
face is a little miracle,
though very scarce these days.

Someone is probably asking right now: ‘If I can do that to other people, who will serve me’? Listen, do unto others what you want others to do for you.  What goes around comes around.  Be concerned about solving people’s problems no matter how little.

You don’t need to have all the money in the world to do this.  Remember, you have something to give, no matter how little. You have a smile, you can say beautiful things to people, like ‘you are beautiful today’. Putting a smile on someone's face is a little miracle, though very scarce these days. This alone can heal a broken heart.

Life presents us a thousand and one opportunities to serve people daily. There is no reward without service. Your prosperity is tied to the amount of service you give. Let us serve one another, it is of great importance to nation building.

THE DREAM I HAD

7 years ago, I had a dream. Such an amazing experience. Let me share this dream with you…

...It was a beautiful Thursday morning. I drove out of my house, and as usual I met Sanni just as I got out of my gate. Sanni is usually the first person I see everyday because I buy newspapers from him on my way to work.

However, this time, it is a very different Sanni. You can tell by the expression on his face. His face was glowing. What is going on? Why is he so happy? I looked around and I saw my answers on the front pages of the newspapers he was holding.

’23 years of constant power supply’ so says The Punch Newspaper.

The Guardian has this to say – ‘Nigeria celebrates 23 years of non-stop power supply’. I quickly scanned for the front pages of other dailies. Vanguard, The Nation, Business Day, This Day and they all have similar stories to tell.

I was overwhelmed with joy. I couldn't believe what was happening because just last week ASUU celebrated 15 years of Uninterrupted University Education without a single day of strike.

All of a sudden I became a very proud Nigerian. I was still driving to work and then I switched on the radio to listen to the 7am news and I heard that the President was traveling to Gombe State to commission Nigeria’s 2nd Vehicle Manufacturing Plant. The first was commissioned 5 years ago in Akwa Ibom State and now Nigeria has its own brands of cars and trucks.

I remember I had to get back home early tonight because the Super Eagles is playing against Germany in the ongoing FIFA World Cup being hosted in Nigeria. Tonight is the semi-finals and if we get to win this year’s world cup, it will be the 2nd time in a row the Super Eagles will be winning it.

I drove into the gate of my office complex and as I was about to open the car door, I heard a very disturbing noise. It is a very familiar sound. It was the sound of the generating set. The gate man had just put it on because PHCN put the lights off.

Alas! It was a dream. I have been dreaming? What a sweet dream that was!

My friends, do you believe these feat is possible in Nigeria? Oh! Let me give you a minute to imagine this. 1, 2, 3,...

This is possible! This was The Dream I had.

I took time to imagine and visualize how Nigeria will look like in 15 years to come. I came up with many and here I show you just a few. I like you to do the same and visualize your City, State or Local Government and add this same caption. send them to info@temitopeajijola.com including your Name and/or twitter handle and I will upload as much as I can on my website. Free Your Imagination and let me see what you can come up with...

RESPONSIBILITY

I was trying to catch some sleep the other day and then there was a knock on the door….(heavy knock sound)…  Only one person in my house knocks like that.  It’s my baby sister, Christiana and she does that when she has a probing question.  She has been trying to complete her school project work for some days now but every time she wants to use the computer, there is no power supply or it just goes on and off.  I saw the frustration on her face as she was about to ask her question. “Nothing seems to work in Nigeria. Why?”  I looked up and sincerely, I don’t know what to say to answer her question.  All I said was some things are just not right yet. I knew she does not understand what I said. I probably added to her misery.

However, upon serious meditation, I soon discovered the closest answer to my sister’s question.  It is lack of responsibility. Let’s talk about Responsibility today.  Now, responsibility is a compound word derived from two separate words: ‘Response’ and ‘Ability’.  In other words, it is the ability to respond to challenges.  A father is responsible for his family.  The security of the nation is the responsibility of the police.  The government is responsible to create laws and uphold the laws of the land.  Nothing just happens! Somebody is responsible for something!

      "Now, responsibility
 is a compound word
derived from
two separate words:
‘Response’ and ‘Ability’ "

I have since realized that not doing something is actually doing something. Are you able to solve the problems in your community?  It is either you resolve it or make sure it is brought to the attention of the people or institution that can do something about it.  A simple example is the electoral process.  We have the responsibility as citizens to vote people we want into power.  But some people don’t vote. Yes, they probably don’t have faith in the whole process and then they don’t cast their vote.  But not voting is voting. I say it again! Not voting is actually voting. If you don’t vote for the right person, you have automatically voted them out by reducing their chances of winning the election. That one vote is too important to be wasted.  Don’t forget, we cannot afford to leave no legacy for the generations yet unborn. This is our responsibility. Yes we can talk and analyze the wrongs in the country, but we can do better by doing something to correct them, no matter how little.
